MUSIC CAPITAL GRANT

In these difficult Covid - 19 times we have had to look for new ways to enrich the curriculum at St Mary’s.

In the absence of the sporting events that were a regular occurrence in the past we have had to look to our other strengths.

Music has made us happy and brought us together (safely) and relieved some of the stresses of the return to school.

We now have some good news to look forward to when the school reopens. We have been awarded a Music Capital Grant from the Music Network. This will cover 75% of the cost of a large set of Ukuleles so that we can begin learning the instrument with the students and hopefully build towards a Ukulele Band in the future.

Thanks to the hard work of the staff in completing the application and beginning to learn the Ukulele themselves, I hope that this will be something that will bring the school together again on our return.
