November Green Schools Projects

The Green School Committee got all students to mark on a map, a general area of where they are from.

The idea was to see was if it is    possible for our students to walk/cycle or get public Transport to School.

The Committee marked out, where students are from in relation to the school and drew a connection point between the various areas of Cork and the school in Rochestown

The Committee decided from the mapping activity that it was not possible for students to walk or cycle to school.  They also looked at the public transport and found that no Bus Eireann bus, passes the School.  The closest bus stop is at the Rochestown   Rd, cross, where you turn off for Cinnamon Cottage.  This bus stop is not very regular and is too far away from the School.

Some students suggested that students nearby the school could cycle, but realistically the best options at the moment are to get a spin in a car or use the private bus or private taxi provided by the State.
