School President Election 2020

In November, St. Mary’s ran its annual School President Election.

This years candidates were Katie, Patty and Adam. The dedicated candidates put together some speeches for the other students to hear in the run up to the election.

Patty’s Speech

“Good Morning everybody.

I hope to be St. Mary’s president this year.

This is my fourth year in St. Mary’s School and I love it.

I know this year is very different in school.

We can’t do any soccer, basketball or swimming but we still have singing and other fun activities.

I have been on the Green Committee and I have been a Water Ambassador last year.

I always have and I always will be interested in the Environment and I would encourage everyone to do their best to save the planet in anyway they can.

If you vote for me, I will lead by example like on the Green Committee and help you in anyway I can do.

Please give me your number one vote on Thursday.

Katie’s Speech

“Good morning Staff and pupils,

My name is Kate O’Leary.

I am 18 years old.

I came to St Marys in September 2015.

I have been in St. Marys for 5 years.

I like Horse riding, swimming and cooking.

I am kind and helpful.

I like talking to people and would be good at welcoming visitors to the school.

I will work hard for all pupils and Staff.

Please vote for me on Thursday.

Adam’s Speech

“Good morning staff and pupils.

 My name is Adam Sewell. I am 17 years old and I came to St Marys in 2015 when I was eleven years old. I love all sorts of sports. I am a good soccer player and I was on the St Mary’s  soccer team for the last four years.

I’m here to say that if I become President of St Marys I will work very hard for everyone here. I am a kind and caring person and will always be willing to help you no matter what. Vote for me on Thursday and give me your number 1. I’m the only boy in the election so please I need your help.

It’s alright if I don’t become President though because I get to go for President with two of my friends Kate and Patty and it was fun going for President
